Track & Field
For girls and boys (K to 8th grade) interested in Track & Field in the spring, the St. Jane de Chantal CYO will again be participating in the Columbus League Track & Field program.
Because we LOVE running (and field events!) and want to share our love of the sport with your children, we welcome all skill levels from the new to the seasoned runner and have a place for every child to reach their fitness and competitive goals while representing their school and having fun.
The first practice will be a "try-it" practice for new athletes to come out and sample the sport as well as provide an opportunity for our seasoned athletes to get together and catch up in a relaxed environment.
Athletes should wear comfortable clothing to run and be active in, but dress in layers as it will be chilly the first few weeks of practice.
Proper running shoes are a must. The following are good running stores that will fit young runners with proper running shoes: RnJ Sports, Potomac River Running, Pacers, Road Runner Sports, and Charm City Running.
Please bring water or a sport drink to EVERY practice and meet!

Good CYO coaches are welcoming, enjoy children, and exude patience and a smile. Volunteer and join us!
