Usually held in late May, this is our opportunity to thank the coaches, players, and families who have supported our programs throughout the year. Dinner is provided, winning teams are recognized, and awards are presented to our athletes and volunteers. Graduating 8th grade athletes are also rewarded for their commitment to de Chantal sports. Terry ​Horrigan Sportsmanship Award

​Established by the Hourigan Family in honor of Mr. Terry Hourigan, a football coach at St. Jane de Chantal from 1965 to 1973, this award is presented to a present 8th grade student athlete at St. Jane de Chantal School who has demonstrated sportsmanship, team play and leadership through their spirit and dedication to the St. Jane de Chantal CYO program. Selection criteria will include the number of years participating in each sport, the number of CYO sports played, the athlete’s level of participation in and commitment to those sports, sportsmanship, team play, leadership and academic standing as primary points of emphasis. The award will be presented annually at the CYO Appreciation Night to one eligible male and one eligible female student athlete in the 8th grade.

Student Athlete of the Year

Established and sponsored by St. Jane de Chantal School, the Student Athlete of the Year Award is presented to a present 8th grade student athlete for their outstanding record of commitment to and accomplishment in the St. Jane de Chantal CYO sports program while also meeting high academic standards in the classroom. Selection criteria will include the number of years participating in each sport, the number of CYO sports played, the athlete’s level of participation in and commitment to those sports, individual and team achievement within those sports, and academic standing as primary points of emphasis.

Pastor's Award

​Established and sponsored by the St. Jane de Chantal CYO, the Pastor’s Award recognizes athletes in St. Jane de Chantal Parish who have demonstrated a strong commitment to CYO over a substantial number of years in several CYO sports and have achieved athletic excellence while demonstrating the qualities of leadership, sportsmanship and fair play which exemplify the mission of CYO athletics.  This award is open to all participants in St. Jane de Chantal CYO. Selection criteria will emphasize the number of years participating in each sport, the number of CYO sports played, the athlete’s level of participation in and commitment to those sports, athletic excellence, leadership, sportsmanship and fair play. The CYO Board will present the award annually to one male and one female 8th grade athlete at the CYO Appreciation Night.

Coach of the Year

​Established and sponsored by the St. Jane de Chantal CYO, the Coach of the Year recognizes a coach who has had a successful season and has developed a history of success by demonstrating coaching effectiveness that extends throughout their career.

​Bollwerk Service Award

​Established and sponsored by the St. Jane de Chantal CYO in honor of Mr. Paul Bollwerk, the Bollwerk Award for Outstanding Service recognizes volunteers who have selflessly given to the de Chantal CYO over an extended period-of-time.
